Composition
Active ingredient: Chlorhexidinum (Chlorhexidinum) Concentration of active ingredient: 5 ml
Pharmacological effect
Antiseptic. Chlorhexidine is active against vegetative forms of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, as well as yeast, dermatophytes and lipophilic viruses. It acts on bacterial spores only at elevated temperatures. Cleans and disinfects the skin without causing damage.
Indications
Purulent-septic processes, disinfection of microtraumas (wounds, scratches, burns), as well as for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (syphilis, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine. Tendency to allergic reactions and allergic diseases, dermatitis, viral skin diseases. Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Precautionary measures
Chlorhexidine should not be allowed to enter the eyes (with the exception of a special dosage form intended for washing the eyes), as well as contact with the meninges and auditory nerve.
Dosage and administration
The drug is for external and local use only. In case of microtrauma, the skin around the wound is treated with a solution, after which a napkin moistened with a solution is applied to the wound and fixed with a bandage or plaster. The dressing is changed 2-3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the progression of the disease, the nature of the complex therapy and tolerability of the drug. Before using the drug in order to prevent sexually transmitted diseases, you should urinate, wash your hands and genitals. After this, you should remove the cap, press on the walls of the bottle and spray the pubic skin, inner thighs, genitals with a stream of solution. Insert the nozzle nozzle into the external opening of the urethra, press it firmly against the ureter and squeeze 1.5 - 3 ml of solution (for men) or 1 - 1.5 ml of solution (for women). Then, without unclenching your fingers, pull the nozzle out of the urethra, and hold the solution for 2-3 minutes. The solution that remains is for women to spray the vagina. After the procedure, it is recommended not to urinate for 2 hours. This preventive measure is effective if it is carried out no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse.

Interaction with other drugs
Chlorhexidine is not compatible with soap, as well as with detergents containing an anionic group (saponins, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium carboxymethylcellulose). It is compatible with preparations containing a cationic group (cetrimonium bromide, benzalkonium chloride).
