Check my other auctions for more rare items (like a Spielberg Duel movie poster signed by star Dennis Weaver or a SIGNED Close Encounters of the Third Kind movie poster!)Likely the only chance you will have to get this poster with these two autographs on it anywhere close to this price in the future. Very uncommon autographs on this poster.
If you don't want the inscriptions, there are restoration companies that will remove inscriptions from most posters and lobby cards such as Studio C. You can google them to find out more
.
In this auction:
Regular price ,500 (flash sale for a limited time at 0 which is 50% off so you save 0!!)
Rare opportunity for some rare autographs on an advance teaser for Indiana Jones.
I was able to get Frank Marshall and Sid Ganis to sign it (see photos from the rare in person signing).
NOT A REPRINT. NOT A REPRODUCTION.
Vintage original movie poster one sheet rolled
(NOT FOLDED).
In my opinion, this movie poster features the best one sheet image of Harrison Ford (NOT SIGNED BY HARRISON FORD BUT SIGNED by Frank Marshall and Sid Ganis - see below for information) as Indiana Jones that they ever created. It's classic and would stunning in your collection or home theater and would make your Indiana Jones collection really stand out.
An Original, not reproduction, advance teaser movie poster one sheet rolled for Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom directed by Steven Spielberg, from the producer of Star Wars George Lucas, and starring Harrison Ford. The Second Indiana Jones film to be released after Raiders of the Lost Ark. Industrial Light and Magic ILM did the special effects on this Lucasfilm production. The Advance ADV movie poster one sheet is the early and usually first movie poster to be released on a title. Usually in smaller numbers.
This movie poster (measures roughly 27x41) is signed by 2 key production figures who are VERY RARE SIGNERS:
1) Producer Frank Marshall (besides producing he also acted as a tourist at the airport in the film - He also acted in the plane propeller scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark as the pilot) and
2) then Senior VP of Lucasfilm Sid Ganis (see photos as I am the one who met them and they signed the poster with a pen). This was signed in 1984 just prior to the release of Temple of Doom.
To the left of Harrison Ford's head it is signed in pen "To Jeff All the Best Frank Marshall"
To the right of Harrison Ford's head it is signed in pen "Hi Ya Jeff Sid Ganis"
Great Vintage signatures from the time of the movie's release.
I have never heard of these two talents doing conventions in recent years where they sign so very rare opportunity to get their signatures on a Indiana Jones poster.
Poster has very light wear and is rolled (which is the way it was originally sent to theaters). I purchased this, unsigned, off a theater manager who had received an extra one in 1984. I then had it signed by Frank Marshall and Sid Ganis just prior to the release of the film in 1984 - see photos from the meeting/signing.
Classic image of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones from a film directed by Steven Spielberg. Would look even more stunning if you framed it.
