Meet Emma the one-of-a-kind American Girl.
She was created from a new Melody American Girl doll. Her unique eyes are by Beautifully Custom Paint-Your-Own, to which I've added hand painted glass irises in glittery tones. Acrylic paint was used to add feathered eyebrows, delicate eyelashes, blush, and cranberry shading with gloss to her lips. Although all paint has been sealed with Professional Liquitex, this doll should be handled gently.
Emma's beautiful black cherry custom wig was designed by ZaZou. It has been permanently attached with waterproof craft contact adhesive, E6000. Brushing is not recommended because of the style.
Her Regency inspired dress was designed just for her. It is sewn of cotton rose print fabric. This dress has a lined bodice, serged seams, and hook and loop closure. The sleeves are edged in pink rosette trim. Her heart choker necklace is secured with a pink silk ribbon. The new silver flats slip on. Her metal hair clip is adorned with a pink ribbon bow.
I have customized this doll in my smoke-free, pet-free studio. The zip tie at her neck string has been replaced with a new neck string. She has permapanties with separate underpants over them. There may be light marks/shines/rubs on the vinyl from handling during customization. Emma will arrive with her own Artist's Certificate of Authenticity.
